My passion extends to assisting individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples—navigate life's trials. Drawing from a wealth of expertise, I specialize in addressing various social and emotional struggles, including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorders, transitional life challenges, parenting issues, diversity and wholism struggles and much more.

I have extensive experience working in various settings, including community-based mental health, school-based mental health, clinics, hospitals, residential care, and private practice. This diverse background enables me to bring a comprehensive and adaptable approach to my practice.

I firmly believe that the human experience can be hard sometimes, I am here to guide you through the storms of life. Together, we'll co-author a new narrative—one that reflects your unique journey and aspirations. My therapeutic style is collaborative, validating, empathetic, and engaging, embracing an integrative approach tailored to your individual needs and challenges.

Welcome! I'm Dr. Staysha Veal, a licensed marriage and family therapist dedicated to multicultural and wholistic approaches to mental health. 

With a doctoral background in marriage and family therapy, I am driven by a mission to seamlessly integrate systemic thinking with culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices into a wholistic framework. My academic journey, coupled with extensive training and practical experience, centers on healing and empowering diverse individuals, communities, and populations facing complex challenges. By fostering inclusivity and embracing strength-based principles, I strive to dismantle stigmas that create internal barriers hindering individuals' movement towards radical healing.

As a Masters level Associate Social Work Clinician, I have passionately served individuals, youth, and families, utilizing my skills as a therapist, counselor, Medical Social Worker, Hospice and Home Health Counselor, and Accomplished Case Manager and life coach. My journey began as an intern counselor, where I honed my clinical expertise and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of human behavior and emotions.
 
Through my journey from wellness to wholeness I continue to inspire others to prioritize their mental, emotional, and physical health, believing that true wealth lies in the pursuit of wholistic well-being. I have always been driven by the belief that when you are whole you are well . . . And when you are well you are wealthy. . . Wellness and wholeness is true wealth.

I am a devoted professional with over a decade of experience in social work, counseling, and wellness coaching. Armed with a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. 


I focus on how different parts of life, like past trauma, our race, and career, can affect our emotions and how we interact with others.

 I work with clients who may be struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma or other mental health struggles. During our initial sessions we will delve deeply into the issues at hand and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual relief of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
